Fifty acres of turf under production at Cabarita Beach, grown by Sarah and Tony Mason and their crew. Ten certified varieties, harvested fresh to order six days a week, delivered from Ballina to Ormeau.
01 — The farm
Our property sits at 279 Round Mountain Road, fifteen minutes south of Gold Coast Airport and thirty minutes north of Byron Bay. Fifty acres are under production. Another five are left as bushland for the paperbarks, eucalypts, koalas, kookaburras and echidnas that were here first.
We are a member of Australian Lawn Solutions, so every variety we cut is certified to industry standard. We supply Tweed Shire Council, golf courses, builders, developers, landscape yards and a lot of people doing their own front yard on a Saturday.
Walk the samples before you buy. All ten varieties grow in sample plots at the farm. Come and stand on them, feel the leaf, and we will tell you honestly which one suits your soil, your shade and how much mowing you actually want to do.

Soft leaf buffalo
An improved buffalo bred for shade and low upkeep.
DNA certified buffalo
The Australian bred buffalo, made for our weather.
Hybrid couch
The drought grass. Fine leaf, fast to recover.
Fine leaf zoysia
The premium lawn. Soft, dense and slow growing.
Zoysia
Hard wearing zoysia with good shade tolerance.

03 — Recent ground

04 — The crew
Coastal Turf is owned and run by Sarah and Tony Mason. Every slab we deliver carries the family name, so we take it personally.
Twenty years in all things grass. Sarah knows weeds, fungal infections and lawn grubs, and will tell you the right treatment for the grass you actually have. She is in the office, on deliveries, and driving the tractor loading your trailer.
Twenty years in landscaping. Tony knows the soils and the climate from the Tweed down through the Northern Rivers, and picks the turf to match the site rather than the other way around.

05 — Delivery
Every truck carries a skid steer loader, so your turf gets put down as close as we can get it to where it is going. You get an ETA text the afternoon before.

Please allow three days for deliveries. We cut fresh to order, so the grass is never sitting on a pallet waiting for you.
Deliveries run six days a week, excluding public holidays. Weather and harvest can shift a run, and we will tell you if it does.
Collect direct from the farm morning or afternoon. Small orders are always welcome, no minimum lecture.
Each truck carries its own loader for easy off-loading, placed as close to the job as access allows.
